~Emma’s story as told to and by Katie.

Emma was carrying around a sapling that she proudly told me all about. ‘It’s a native pea plant with purple flower, it looks really pretty when it’s all in flower’ Then she continued on to tell me that she had scored it from the Sunshine Coast Council stall at the World Environment Day festival. She had been the previous year and picked up a flax lily that was growing really well in her garden and was excited to plant this one. While I was chatting to her friends she wrote down her #garmentgratitude story for me

Thanks to those who made my dress. It’s been a super versatile piece for travel, beach and socialising’

Her eco actions included ‘planting my new native plant and removing some weeds from my garden’.
