As a keepsake of our Island escape wedding my Mr. and I exchanged rings as a symbol of our love.
A symbol of eternal love should be something you can wear with pride for years to come. With this in mind we opted for ethical handmade rings. You may remember SFDesigns from a previous label love and our joint Instagram giveaway. The fabulous designer of SFDesigns and my dear e-pen friend, Steph, was one of the only people who knew about our secret wedding plans. She was set the task to make a ring for my mans somewhat gigantic finger (a story I know she is dying to share on her blog)!
The inside of this recycled silver ring is hand stamped with the quote ‘to the moon and back’. Being an incredibly generous and thoughtful soul she also made me a wedding gift of a hand stamped pendant with our initials and year and symbolic moon and stars. I bawled my eyes out when they arrived in the mail with a touching verse about marriage. These keepsakes are full of love and will be positive talismans for the years to come.
Ged (my Mr.) was set the challenge to find me a ring on etsy. I had sent him through a whole collection of ideas I liked and this Madelynn Cassin Designs Cresent Moon Ring was one of the many. We didn’t reveal rings to one-and-other (aside from a blind try on session to make sure they fit) until the ceremony so it was a nice surprise on an otherwise very collaborative day having dressed together and walked down the isle hand in hand.
I am thrilled with my beautiful ring, the sentiment behind it, and the way it has worked itself so seamlessly into my style.
