For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with the 1 Million Women (1MW) initiative get ready to have a dose of feminine eco-empowerment deposited directly into your psyche by the founder Natalie Isaacs in the YouTube video above.

This fabulous initiative has been responsible for inspiring hundreds of thousands of women and girls to transform society by taking action in their lives to cut pollution, reduce waste, save energy and lead change. Their practical tips, advice, and online campaigns are designed to help inspire you to make better choices to help reduce your carbon footprint and fight climate change.  1MW is based around the principle that if 1 million women all make one better choice, however small, it leads to real change.

I was truly honoured when the ever friendly Bronte, who has done an incredible job of saving 1,890kg of CO2 by making a conscious effort to reduce her waste by remembering to carry her own eating utensils, water bottle and coffee cup, asked me if I would answer some interview questions for the 1MW blog. Her interview questions were really thought provoking and I had so much fun contemplating each answer (and may have written an essay sized response to each one…oops). It’s still difficult to believe that such a wonderful and inspiring initiative like 1MW felt that Sustainability in Style was worth sharing and I can’t help but be thankful to the universe for giving me the opportunities that have lead to this blogging platform. It has been a real blessing to have hands to type, a brain to fill with knowledge, the love and support of others both online and in the flesh, nourishment for my body and soul, and electricity to power my blogging tools. Our existence has an impact and we can only try to make it as positive and mindful as possible in the short time we have.

A great big thank you to 1MW for the opportunity and I look forward to assisting you in your mission to change the world one thoughtful action at a time.

Another great big thank you to each and every person who takes the time to read these words. You mean so much and without you this blog wouldn’t exist. Thanks for making every day fun, exciting, and empowering.
